Jaecoo

Jaecoo is a marque of Chinese vehicle manufacturer Chery that debuted in 2023. The marque was established to sell SUVs to export markets such as Europe, Russia, Malaysia, Middle East, South Africa and Chile with sales starting in early 2024 in several markets.The marque was launched in April 2023 in Wuhu, Anhui, China, alongside the Omoda marque. The two brands (referred to as "O&J" brands) are only sold outside China to support its export strategy. Both brands were targeted to reach a global annual sales of 1,400,000 units by 2030 (excluding China).In the same month, Chery established an independent company in China called Anhui Omoda Jaecoo Automobile Co., Ltd. as a sales company.

After being exhibited in Malaysia at the beginning of May this year, Jaecoo J7 PHEV has already opened registration of interest.This is the plug-in hybrid version of the Jaecoo J7 that was officially launched in Malaysia in July, when it arrived in 2WD and 4WD variants. The Omoda C9 SUV (manufactured by Jaecoo) is previewed in China today, and the car is expected to hit the market in December of this year as a locally assembled (CKD) model. The front-wheel drive model is priced at about RM185,000, while the all-wheel drive model is priced at about RM195,000.
