BMW Malaysia's total sales exceeded 13,500 units in 2024, with electric vehicle sales continuing to lead

【PCauto】According to official figures, BMW Malaysia successfully delivered over 13,500 units in 2024, including the brands BMW, Mini, and BMW motorcycles, with more than 10,500 units attributed to the BMW marque.
It is notable that the sales of BMW electric vehicles surpassed 2,700 units, representing 20.5% of total annual deliveries, thereby solidifying BMW’s preeminent position in the luxury electric vehicle market within the Malaysian market.
Among BMW's extensive model range, the BMW 3 Series continues to be the sales juggernaut, achieving annual sales over 2,700 units, with 320i M Sport as the most favored variant, recording sales exceeding 1,400 units. BMW iX2, distinguished within BMW's electric vehicle portfolio, achieved sales exceeding 460 units, establishing itself as a significant player in the mid-size luxury electric vehicle segment, owing to its pioneering design, robust electric performance, and remarkable driving range.
The newly launched BMW i5 has also demonstrated strong sales performance, with annual figures surpassing 400 units. As an pure-electric vehicle of the BMW 5 Series, i5 integrates luxury with electric innovation, capturing the interest of a wide array of consumers.
In the SUV category, X1 sDrive20i emerged as BMW's best-selling model, with sales surging by 195% year-on-year to nearly 1,500 units. X4 xDrive30i M Sport and X5 xDrive50e followed closely, achieving sales of 700 and 400 units, respectively, while total deliveries of the BMW X series sports utility vehicles surpassed 3,600 units.
Beyond its commendable domestic market performance, BMW Malaysia has also achieved significant milestones in its export endeavors, with cumulative exports exceeding 11,000 units dispatched to over 20 countries worldwide in 2024.
