Recently, a set of spy photos of the right-hand drive version of BYD Yangwang U8 was taken by a blogger on Chinese social media. The vehicle appeared near the BYD factory in Xi'an, China, indicating that this luxury SUV with a price tag of one million RMB will be exported to right-hand drive overseas markets, including Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, and other places in China.

Yangwang is a luxury electric vehicle brand under BYD, which was launched in January 2023. Its brand logo is derived from the ancient Chinese characters of oracle bone inscription, "thunder" or "electricity". In terms of power engine, as a range-extended car, BYD Yangwang U8 is equipped with a BYD487ZQD 2.0T transversely mounted engine and a front + rear layout with four motors. The motors can provide a power output of 1196PS and 1280N.m, with a maximum speed of 180 km/h. The official 0-100 acceleration time is 3.9S.

In terms of battery life, BYD Yangwang U8 is equipped with BYD's self-developed 49.05kwh iron-phosphate lithium battery, and the CLTC combined range is 780km. Worth mentioning that the car is built under 800V voltage architecture, providing a better charging experience, with a fast charge time of 18 minutes. The first owner can also enjoy a warranty policy for battery without limits on years/mileage.

In terms of interior design, BYD Yangwang U8 reflects a Chinese luxury style, adopting a symmetrical fusion design concept, creating a safe and comfortable wrap. The interior color offers black-orange and gray-brown options, with a large amount of top Nappa leather used in the orange part, showing a luxurious brand positioning.
BYD Yangwang U8 is also equipped with a 70-inch AR-HUD, with a resolution of 1920*640 and a brightness of up to 12,000 nits, so you can easily see the markers even in direct sunlight. The central armrest opens up to reveal a car fridge with a compressor, which supports quick cooling or heating with a capacity of 4.5L.

The interior space configuration of BYD Yangwang U8, on both sides of the center console and in the middle of the cabin, adopts a full and round cylinder design, bringing a full and visually exciting feeling, and conveying a sense of power.
