What kind of car should a young person choose for their first vehicle? Maybe a sporty compact car? Then you can't miss the new MG5. On September 12, the new MG5 was officially launched in China. The new car has introduced 4 models. As a model of the generation, it has undergone a comprehensive upgrade in appearance, interior and configuration. Among them, the value of the face is still its biggest selling point. The price of the new MG 5 has not been announced yet, but we can estimate based on tariffs and selling prices in China. What do you think the price will be when it goes on sale in China?

MG 5 is a product from Chinese car manufacturer SAIC. The brand used to belong to the UK and was later acquired by SAIC. Currently, SAIC is expanding its market globally through the MG brand. SAIC has announced that its MG dealer network will expand nationwide, further consolidating its commitment to providing excellent experiences and innovative vehicles to customers nationwide. Before the end of this year, it will add new dealerships in strategic locations in the northern and east coast regions as well as East Malaysia. Do you look forward to the arrival of MG 5?

Design: "Hunting Pupil" Design Language

On the exterior, the new MG5 adopts SAIC MG family's "Hunting Pupil" design language. The front air inlet has been replaced with a large size vertical design, supplemented by a new design of the lighting group, the style has a bit maserati feel. Secondly, the black "saber teeth" design on both sides further enhances the sportiness of the vehicle.

The new MG 5 inherits the classic Fastback styling of the MG brand on the side of its body, creating a strong visual impact and unique brand recognition. In terms of body size, its length, width, and height are 4715/1842/1473mm, with a wheelbase of 2680mm. Compared to the old model, the new car is 40mm longer. In addition, the MG5 has a body width of 1842mm, which is the widest in its class, and the height-to-width ratio reaches an unusual one of 0.799 in the same class, creating a wide-body, low-profile visual effect with the Fastback styling. Finally, the model photographed is equipped with 17-inch five-spoke aluminum alloy wheels.

The styling of the rear part of the MG 5 is full of combat air, the slight inclination of the tail connects with the ducktail edges and corners, making them more prominent, and the rear surround also adds a diffuser guard plate and a dual-exhaust layout, enhancing the "small steel cannon" deja vu. In addition, the area of the tail lamps is extended, and they extend to the license plate position on both sides.
