We recently obtained a set of spy photos of the new Ferrari Roma, which is expected to be officially released at the end of 2025 or the beginning of 2026. Ferrari has not yet provided any information about the replacement for the Roma model, but considering the car manufacturer's goal is to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030, it is very likely to introduce some hybrid technology.

It is reported that the new car is expected to switch to a hybrid system composed of a V6 engine and an electric motor, but it may also be an upgrade for the current V8 engine. There is currently no conclusion.

Ferrari stated in August this year that the lifecycle of the Roma model is nearing its end, so it is not surprising that the successor model is being tested in public. Roma was put into production in 2020 and is the first car based on the new front mid-engine platform, which is shared with Purosangue and 12Cilindri.

Looking at the exposed spy photos this time, the new car is still wrapped in heavy camouflage, but from the contour, it still retains the shape of the current Ferrari Roma model. However, the design of the front splitter and the exposed part of the rear trim panel is different. It is expected that the new car's appearance will mainly upgrade the details, adding the latest design styles and aerodynamic designs of Ferrari F80 and 12Cilindri.

In terms of power, the current Ferrari Roma is equipped with a 3.9T V8 engine with a maximum power of 620 horsepower. The new car is expected to switch to the same plug-in hybrid system as the 296 GTB, consisting of a 2.9T V6 engine and an electric motor, with a system maximum power of 829 horsepower. However, changing the power system will also mean that there will be a great adjustment to the interior layout, so the new car may also use an upgraded V8 engine.

The successor of Ferrari Roma is expected to debut at the end of 2025 or the beginning of the next year. Prior to this, Ferrari will launch the successor of Ferrari SF90, which is also in testing and is expected to debut at some point in 2025. The automaker is also developing its first electric vehicle, said to be in test as well, which is expected to debut next year. We will continue to follow and report on more information about the new vehicle.
