It is understood that the new car is built on the HERATECT platform and offers two and four-wheel drive systems. The power system will be equipped with a 1.2L three-cylinder engine and a light hybrid system.
The overall design style of the new generation Suzuki Swift inherits from the previous generations, which combines a petite body with simple details. The main target is affordable home use, giving people a taste of youthful pragmatism. The center net shape resembles a shark's mouth and also incorporates a honeycomb-style grille design. The front headlights use lenses and LED daytime running lights. The new model also uses a monocular camera and millimeter wave radar.
The body size is 3860×1735×1495mm, and the wheelbase is 2450mm. The body height of the four-wheel drive model is 1520mm, which is significantly higher than the two-wheel drive model. In terms of side design, the new car adopts a floating roof or dual-color body design to show a youthful style, and the hidden design of the rear door handle of the previous generation is changed to a traditional design. The tail design is very simple, the taillight adopts a more recognizable new shape and a blackening decoration. The right lower corner of the tailgate has a Hybrid logo. In addition, the new car uses 16-inch aluminum alloy wheels.
The new car uses a new center console layout, but the overall design is still very traditional and uses a traditional mechanical dashboard. The back row of the new car provides an independent headrest for the middle seat, and the rear seats support a 60:40 ratio fold down, it can be seen that it still pays great attention to daily practicality.
In terms of power, the new car is equipped with a 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine and is matched with a 12-volt light hybrid system (ISG). The maximum power of the engine is 82 horsepower, and the peak torque is 112 N·m; the ISG light hybrid system can output a maximum power of 2.3 kilowatts, and the peak torque is 60 N·m. In terms of the transmission system, the new car is matched with a 6-speed manual transmission and a CVT stepless transmission and provides two-drive and four-drive power layouts.
