The ZEEKR 009 has been launched in Thailand, with a sales price set at THB3,099,000 (equivalent to RM395,000). The entire vehicle CUB is imported from China's GEELY factory to Thailand for sales. The model is positioned as a business MPV model and is set to compete with the current Toyota Alphard, Lexus LM, Mercedes-Benz V-Class and Denza D9. The main advantages of electric vehicles over traditional fuel vehicles lie in their software and environment-friendly energy-saving properties, which include automotive intelligence and seat comfort configurations. This is exactly in line with the needs of business MPV consumers. Therefore, the market prospects for this model should be quite good.
Currently, there is only one type of ZEEKR vehicle available domestically, named ZEEKR X, positioned as an SUV C-class vehicle, with a price range of RM 1,199,000-1,349,000. Malaysia, as an important car market within ASEAN, has a great potential for the introduction of ZEEKR 009 in the future. Let’s take a closer look at the ZEEKR 009 to provide new ideas for choosing an MPV in the future.
The imported ZEEKR 009 launched in the Thailand market has only one model to choose from. However, in its country of origin, China, there are three flagship models and another Glory variant model available. The body length, width and height of the ZEEKR 009 are respectively 5217mm/2024mm/1812mm, with a wheelbase of 3205mm. There are five colors available - grey, green, white, black, and blue. The boot space of this car has a capacity of 574L, which can be expanded to 2963L after seat adjustment, equal to accommodating six 24-inch suitcases. Overall, the ZEEKR 009 performs well in terms of interior space, providing ample passenger and loading space.
The ZEEKR 009 can reach a maximum range of 900km under CLTC conditions, which basically covers daily city commuting. At the same time, it is equipped with a maximum charging rate of 5C and a peak power of 56KW. Under fast charging conditions, the power can be increased from 10% to 80% in 11.5 minutes. Due to the high endurance and fast charging, it can to some extent reduce the range anxiety brought about by electric vehicles.
