Overview of the series

Smart #3 is imported from China as a completely built unit (CBU), and there are three versions in Malaysia: Smart #3 Pro (priced at RM 175,000), Smart #3 Premium (priced at RM 215,000), and Smart #3 Brabus (priced at RM 255,000).

Power system

Smart #3 Premium is driven by a rear-mounted single motor (RWD), which can generate 272 PS of power and 343 N·m of torque. The 0-100 km/h acceleration test takes 5.6 seconds, which is 0.3 seconds faster than Smart #1 Premium.

Power consumption

In the actual test, the recorded energy consumption was 18.8 kWh/100 km for about 100 km of driving distance (including 60% of highways and 40% of urban roads).

Vehicle dimensions

The Smart #3 measures 4,440 mm in length, 1,844 mm in width, 1,556 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,785 mm. Compared to the Smart #1, it is 170 mm longer and has a wheelbase that is 35 mm longer.

Interior configuration

The interior layout is largely similar to the Smart #1, with some design elements inspired by Mercedes-Benz. There is plenty of storage space, including a refrigerated compartment in the center. However, the infotainment system is somewhat complicated to operate. The 12.8-inch central touchscreen is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip, and while the virtual assistant includes animated effects, the actual user experience is not very satisfactory.

Safety System

The car is equipped with most of the ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) suite, including features such as Highway Assist (HWA), Traffic Jam Assist (TJA), Automatic Emergency Braking, and Forward Collision Mitigation.
