Overview of the Series

The 2023 Toyota Innova Zenix is not a replacement for the familiar Innova, but a brand new model, positioned more high-end. It is based on the GA-C version of the TNGA platform, transitioning from traditional MPV styling to an SUV-like MPV style.

Equipped with a 2.0L HEV hybrid power system, matched with an e-CVT transmission, the total power is 186 PS, the engine torque is 187 Nm, the motor torque is 206 Nm, 0-100 km/h acceleration time is 10.4 seconds, the power performance is excellent, the hybrid system runs smoothly, and the power switch is seamless.

Fuel Consumption

Under the test conditions where city and highway driving each account for half, the fuel consumption per hundred kilometers is about 6.6 liters, the driving computer shows the average fuel consumption per hundred kilometers is 6.5 liters, which is quite accurate.

Interior Configuration

The interior features leather upholstery with silver contrast trim, enhancing the overall cabin quality. However, most areas are made of hard plastic, and some materials around the window switches and steering wheel buttons feel cheap. It comes equipped with a 10.1-inch touchscreen that supports wireless Apple CarPlay, while Android Auto requires a wired connection. The ergonomics are excellent, with well-positioned physical buttons and a comfortable driving position, though the steering wheel is slightly off-center to the left. Storage space inside is average, and the central armrest box has a single opening direction. The rear seats are spacious, especially for legroom, with the second-row seats offering significant adjustment. The third-row seats are also quite comfortable, providing ample headroom and legroom. The boot capacity is 239 liters with the third-row seats up, and it expands to 690 liters when folded.

Safety System

The vehicle is equipped with the latest Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 suite. The adaptive cruise control operates smoothly, and object detection has been enhanced, although it may still miss some sudden lane changes. The new road sign assist feature is somewhat unstable, and the navigation app might be a more reliable option.
