    The 2022 Kia Carnival is a large MPV with a unique position in the Malaysian market, designed to provide a high-quality travel experience for family users.

    Power System

    It is equipped with a 2.2-liter Smartstream turbocharged diesel engine, delivering 199 PS and 440 Nm of torque. The engine runs quietly during driving, with smooth power delivery. Paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, the acceleration performance is impressive, making overtaking effortless.

    On a 417 km journey, it achieved a fuel consumption of 9.1 liters/100 km, offering good fuel economy.

    Vehicle Dimensions

    With a length of 5155 mm, a height of 1775 mm, and a width of 1746 mm, the Kia Carnival is larger than its predecessor and surpasses some smaller MPVs in its class.

    Interior Configuration

    The interior is thoughtfully designed, excelling in quality, aesthetics, and ergonomics. It features patterned metal strips, with a black and brown color scheme. While there is a significant use of plastic materials, they are of good quality. The car is equipped with a 12.3-inch central touchscreen that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, along with a wireless charger, multiple USB ports, plenty of cup holders, ample storage space, and rear air conditioning controls.

    Safety System

    It is equipped with 6 airbags, blind spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. However, it lacks active safety systems (ADAS).

    Space

    The Kia Carnival offers an 11-seat configuration, with two seats in the front row, followed by three rows of three seats each. The middle seats can fold down to provide additional cup holders or trays, though they sit lower as armrests. The low ride height makes it easy for children and elderly passengers to get in and out of the vehicle. The second and third rows can comfortably accommodate three adults, with excellent headroom and legroom, except in the fourth row. The last row offers limited space and is more suitable for children. The last row seats can be folded away to create additional luggage space, though the first two rows do not have flexible storage options to further expand the space.
