    • Overview of the series

    Currently, Naza Eastern Motor only sells the ZC33S Swift Sport, and no longer offers the regular Swift. This is a departure from the previous two generations when Suzuki's Malaysian dealer network sold both the regular Swift and Swift Sport models simultaneously.

    Interior configuration

    The interior of the ZC33S Swift Sport is largely carried over from the regular, non-sport version. Don’t expect soft-touch materials or fancy ambient lighting—hard plastics decorate the dashboard, with only a few red accents and stitching to hint at the sportier nature of the model. It was hoped that Suzuki would add the same red accents to the rear door interiors, but this was not the case. As a popular hatchback, driving convenience features are key, and in this area, the Swift Sport performs well. The front seats are sporty, with a pair of snug, semi-bucket seats, and the flat-bottom steering wheel comes with shift paddles. In terms of build and material quality, the interior doesn't quite match the expected standard for a car priced around RM140,000. While the build quality is solid, the material choice is quite economical. Notably, the boot space has been improved, with the ZC33S offering 265 liters—an increase of 50 liters over the older ZC32S Swift Sport.

    Power system

    The ZC33S Swift Sport is the first in the series to ditch the high-revving naturally aspirated engine in favor of a forced induction unit. While it lacks the exciting high-revving engine sound, torque has been significantly improved, providing more torque from as low as 2500 rpm. Power delivery is smooth, and acceleration is quicker, but the previous generation offered a more engaging driving experience. The handling of the Swift Sport has always been excellent, and the ZC33S, weighing close to 1 ton, is extremely agile, with quick steering and plenty of fun when cornering. In terms of NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness), the ZC33S registers an average of 70 dB at 110 km/h, which is comparable to the Toyota Vios GR-Sport but slightly worse than the newly launched Proton Iriz.

    Fuel consumption

    In a test over 125.7 km, the Swift Sport consumed 8.48 liters of RON 95 fuel, resulting in an average fuel consumption of 6.7 L/100 km, which is a respectable figure.
