Series Overview

Mercedes-Benz GLB series has 3 models, all imported from Mexico (CBU), namely GLB 200, GLB 250 and the top-tier model GLB 35. The lower-end models are equipped with 7 seats, while the GLB 35 excludes the third row of seats.

Power System

The GLB 35 is equipped with a M260 2.0-litre turbocharged engine.It has a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 5.5 seconds in actual test. Although it didn't match the claimed 5.2 seconds, the test was performed in the heat of the afternoon. The engine's power output is relatively strong. You'd feel a buildup of power during acceleration, but by AMG standards, its characteristics are not very prominent and lacks backfire and detonation noise, resulting in smooth acceleration.

Fuel Consumption

In a journey of 99.4 kilometers, with approximately 60% on the highway and 40% city driving, it requires 9.34 litres of fuel to fill the tank. The calculated fuel consumption is 9.4 liters/100 kilometers. The on-board computer displays an average fuel consumption of 9.7 liters/100 kilometers. Considering its size and weight, this fuel consumption performance is quite good.

Interior Features

The interior design of the GLB 35 is similar to that of the A-class, with stunning elements such as the turbine-like vents, dual wide-screen display, ambient lighting, etc. The ambient lighting effect is outstanding, like a disco ball or a spa center. The display is clear with good refresh rate and response time. The UI's graphics are easy to understand. The interior space is relatively spacious. For someone 177 cm tall, there's more than 2 tennis balls' worth of space in the knee and head area in the rear row. However, there is a creaking noise around the door handle and a noise when the boot cover is retracted.
