Overview of the series

Hyundai Sime Darby Malaysia launched the Hyundai Palisade facelift model in January 2023, retaining 4 models with 7-seat and 8-seat configurations. The prices of each model have increased by about 40,000 ringgit compared to the previous model launched at the end of 2021. The prices are as follows: 2.2 diesel 8-seater: 368,888 ringgit; 3.8 GDI 8-seater: 378,888 ringgit; 2.2 diesel 7-seater: 389,888 ringgit; 3.8 GDI 7-seater: 399,888 ringgit. The new facelift adopts the "Parametric Jewel" design language, with a new front end, 20-inch alloy wheels, updated rear bumper, and skid plates.

Power system

The vehicle is equipped with a 3.8-liter naturally aspirated V6 engine, producing 295 PS and 355 Nm of torque. It is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive, with a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of just 8.6 seconds.

Fuel consumption

In a mixed driving condition test (50% highway and 50% city), the vehicle covered 147.9 km and consumed 18.63 liters of fuel, resulting in a combined fuel efficiency of 12.59 liters/100 km.

Vehicle dimensions

After the update, the new model's front end is 20 mm longer, while the rear end is 5 mm shorter.

Interior configuration

The interior updates include a redesigned dashboard, a new multi-spoke steering wheel, a 12.3-inch infotainment screen (with a new user interface, split-screen, and multiple Bluetooth connections), standard Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a larger 2.6-inch head-up display, and upgraded 3-amp USB charging ports. The seats are comfortable, and the cabin is spacious, but the 2-seat configuration in the second row may not be ideal for families.

Safety system

All variants come equipped with Hyundai SmartSense ADAS suite, which includes features such as smart cruise control, blind-spot collision avoidance assist, rear cross-traffic collision avoidance assist, lane-keeping assist, lane-following assist, forward collision avoidance assist, multi-collision braking system, high beam assist, and forward departure warning.
