    The fourth generation Tucson for Malaysia is fully imported (CBU) from Korea, with three variants available. The prices are as follows: 2.0 Lite is RM 158,888, 1.6T Plus is RM 178,888, and 1.6T Max is RM 195,888. The base model 2.0 Lite features a naturally aspirated engine, equipped with a 2.0-litre "Smartstream" four-cylinder engine, producing 156 PS and 192 Nm, paired with a 6-speed automatic gearbox. The other two variants are equipped with a 1.6-litre turbocharged Smartstream four-cylinder engine, producing 180 PS and 265 Nm, matched with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT).

    Power System

    The 1.6T Max model is equipped with a 1.6-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, with a power output of 180 PS @ 5,500 rpm and torque of 265 Nm @ 1,500 - 4,000 rpm. The 0 - 100 km/h acceleration time is 9.4 seconds.

    Fuel Consumption

    In the standard fuel efficiency test, driving 109.5 kilometers requires the addition of 8.71 liters of fuel, with an average fuel consumption of 7.95 liters/100 kilometers, the test includes a mix of 60/40 highway and city driving conditions.

    The Malaysian version is a long-wheelbase version, with a wheelbase of 2,755 millimeters.

    Interior Configuration

    The standard configuration includes a 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, has remote start, rear-view camera and four driving modes. The 2024 Tucson 1.6T Max also features a fully-digital 10.25-inch driver's display, dual-zone automatic climate control, power tailgate and wireless charger. The overall interior layout is intuitive, the front seats are suitable for long drives, the rear seats are comfortable with ample legroom though the headroom may feel limited for taller passengers. The cabin is relatively quiet, though there is noticeable tire noise at 90 -110 km/h. The trunk space is abundant, with a volume of 582 liters (expands to 1,903 liters when the rear seats are folded).

    Safety System

    All variants are equipped with 7 airbags, electronic parking brake (EPB) with automatic hold, blind spot collision warning, and safe exit warning. The 1.6T Max variant also comes with the Hyundai SmartSense ADAS suite, including features like Smart Cruise Control (SCC).
