The Volvo XC40 T5 Recharge as a PHEV model has certain features in terms of design and performance.

Power System

A 1.5-liter turbocharged engine (180 PS / 265 Nm) is paired with a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission. The electric motor works in tandem with the engine, delivering a combined total output of 262 PS and a total torque of 425 Nm. The car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.7 seconds.

Fuel Consumption

In the fuel consumption test (starting with 80% charge), the vehicle was set to "Hybrid" mode. The test route consisted of 50% highway and 50% city driving, with a fuel consumption of 5.9 liters per 100 km. However, the EV range is limited, and after driving 20-30 km in "Hybrid" mode, the electric charge is almost depleted. The car's maximum charging power is 3.7 kW (AC charging), so the charging time is relatively long.

Interior Configuration

The interior atmosphere is serious and mature, with a lack of vibrant elements except for a few patterns on the center console. However, the materials used in the interior are of good quality and provide a pleasant tactile experience, with integrated hard plastics that are nearly unnoticeable. The seats provide good support, and the Nubuck fabric has anti-slip properties. Passenger space is ample, comfortably accommodating four adults, though five people can also be seated, but long trips are not recommended. As a PHEV model, the interior storage space is somewhat compromised.
